Run Skaftor in your cloud

Keep code, documents, AI runs and credentials in your own Kubernetes cluster with the Skaftor Operator, while sign-in and billing stay on Skaftor Cloud.

Organisations that need their data to stay in their own cloud can install the Skaftor Operator in a Kubernetes cluster (GKE, EKS or AKS) from Settings › "Your cloud".

What stays where

  • In your cloud — documents, requirements and designs; code, workstations and AI runs; keys and credentials; the access log.
  • On Skaftor Cloud — sign-in, team and roles, project names, usage and billing.

Set it up

You'll need the Admin role, an HTTPS hostname, kubectl, helm, and the CLI (npm install -g skaftor).

  1. In Settings › "Your cloud", select "Get a one-time code" (valid for 15 minutes).
  2. Run the two commands it shows where your cluster is — they enroll and install the Operator.
  3. Wait for it to connect and check the fingerprint.
  4. Select "Switch to my cloud".
skaftor operator enroll <code> --address https://skaftor.internal.example.com --kube-context <ctx>
skaftor operator install --tag <version> --chart-version <v> --kube-context <ctx>
skaftor operator status --kube-context <ctx>

Afterwards you can grant time-limited Skaftor support access, review recent access, move back, or disconnect. Coding agents connect to your Operator's MCP address instead of app.skaftor.com.
