Requirements from a PRD

Start a feature from a PRD, a connected tool or a sentence; answer clarifying questions; review drafted requirements line by line; and get them approved.

Start a feature

  • Upload — on Home, "Start from a PRD" accepts PDF, Word, Markdown or text up to 50 MB.
  • Import — "Import from a tool" searches Notion, Confluence, Jira, Linear, Google Docs or SharePoint. "Let an agent look" scans connected tools for PRDs nobody has started.
  • Describe — "Describe it in a sentence", then "Plan it" and choose the documents it should be built from (or skip).
  • New item — on Features, "New feature" creates a Feature or a Bug. A bug takes what's broken, steps to reproduce, expected and actual behaviour, and goes straight to work orders.

Clarifying questions

Select "Start building". Before drafting, Skaftor lists what the document leaves open, each with suggested answers. Answer or "Skip" every question, then "Answer & continue". Skipped questions aren't assumed — they show as open in the review.

Review and accept

Drafting usually takes 1 to 4 minutes. On "Review & accept", each requirement is marked "Found in your PRD", "Needs your eye", "Source not in your PRD", or "No source — skaftorAI wrote this". Include or exclude each line, then "Accept & continue". Nothing advances until you accept.

Approval

Accepted requirements go to the Product Manager. They approve from the Inbox, Home or the feature page — or act on single lines on the Requirements tab, add a "New requirement", and answer open questions.

Connected PRD sources can stay in sync: in Settings › "Integrations" › "PRD sources", turn on "Keep in sync" to re-read hourly, or use a webhook.
