Workstations

Managed cloud machines where Skaftor's agents build, design and test — on Skaftor Cloud or your own cloud — and how to launch, connect to, stop and delete them.

A workstation is a managed cloud machine with your repository, the branch and a coding agent ready. Skaftor starts one automatically when a work order builds in the cloud, when the design agent reads your code, or when the QA agent tests — and you can launch your own.

Where they run

  • Skaftor Cloud — nothing to set up.
  • Your own cloud — a VM in your Google Cloud or AWS account, or Kubernetes on Google Cloud, connected in Settings › "Cloud & targets".

Manage your workstations

Settings › "Workstations" lists your workstations with "Launch a workstation", and holds your access token and CLI setup. From a work order's Workstation card you can copy the SSH command or stop it.

skaftor targets # where you can launch, default marked
skaftor up my-box --agent claude # launch (returns at once)
skaftor ws # list workstations and status
skaftor ssh my-box # interactive shell (^D to exit)
skaftor stop my-box # power off — the home volume is kept
skaftor rm my-box # delete it and its home volume
Workstations are included on the Growth plan. A stopped workstation still bills for its disk until you delete it.
